Mar 24 2008 April 3rd Meeting: Web Security & Error Trapping: Mysteries & Solutions

Hello fellow Cold Fusioners!

For our next meeting (in 10 days!) we will be focussing on Web Security & Error Trapping.

Instead of one expert giving a presentation, I'd like everyone to contribute either a question or a solution and we'll go over them together.

It would be great to start collecting questions (aka mysteries & puzzles) and solutions (aka hot hints and cool code) beforehand so we have a good chunk of questions and code to start the evening with! Feel free to submit your mysteries & code to this forum!

Here's a few to start us off:

Mystery #1: How can you access the important information in the cfcatch tag without getting the whole kit and kaboodle?

Question #2: Can you explain the advantages of using variables scopes. Disadvanatges? Dangers?

Puzzle #3: What's the best way to compensate for cfqueryparam being so Abrupt?!
