Dec 22 2011 2012 Meeting Changes

I hope everyone is having a good holidays and will be able to get a break from work and enjoy life and family a bit over the next few weeks.

I wanted to post a quick note that Starting in January we will be moving our monthly meeting dates to the SECOND THURSDAY of each month. We'll explain more on why this is happening in the coming weeks, but that makes our next meeting Jan. 12th and the topic will be "Building Mobile Apps with PhoneGap". Please see our EVENTS page for more info on this next month's meeting.

Also, I want to encourage everyone (especially those that are fairly new) that as we step into 2012 we want to make the Seattle ColdFusion User Group is a place for professionals of all experiences and backgrounds, and to help each other grow in our interests and careers as developers. While we want to continue to make people aware of new techniques and technologies, I want to make a priority to give people the ability to share the projects their working on and the issues they need help with. I know from personal experience that sometimes people don't even know which questions to ask - so as we start 2012 PLEASE make yourself known and feel free to speak up when you don't understand something as there are absolutely NO dumb questions.

I look forward to hanging out with you all this Tuesday night, and like always feel free to drop me or Merritt a line if you ever have any questions or ideas. Have a Merry Christmas and great New Year.

- Brian Ward
